The commitment: This year, the volunteer season is from May 1 – September 30, 2023 (it is 22 weeks long). We ask that our volunteers commit to one work-day per week on any 15 of these weeks. You choose the day that works best for you consistently be at the farm (Mon, Tues, Thurs, or Fri). The work days hours are from 9 am – 1 pm, with a 30 minute break in the middle. No equipment other than gardening gloves required.
The compensation: In trade for this commitment, you will be a full CSA member for the season, and will come pick up your vegetables on Tuesday evening at the farm during the entire CSA season (June 21-Oct 7 ish) with all of our members. Sometimes, we will have extras or other produce to share with you which will be available on your work day. In addition to the food, we promise fun, camaraderie, and plenty of hands-in-the-dirt time.
The work: The work will include lots of weeding and some harvesting and processing of our produce.
Your children (recommended 5 and older) are welcome to come with you! Kids will play while we work – they may help out a little, but the work isn’t very suitable for the young. If you have younger kids and want to volunteer – please reach out, we are open to working with you.
