Work one half-day per week in trade for a full CSA Share
This is a great, low pressure way to spend time with us in the garden and get some fresh produce for you and your family.
This volunteer season runs from May 8, 2025 – September 23, 2025. Our work days are from 9 am – 1 pm in the garden, with a break in the middle. We are looking for people who can commit to a consistent day each week*, and we ask that you attend 14 work days during the season (the season is 21 weeks long, so you have a lot of flexibility for all of your summer plans). The days you may choose are: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday or Friday.
In trade for your time and dedication, we give you a full CSA share, plus extras when available. You will pick up your share on Tuesday evenings at our CSA Pick-up at the farm (between 4 and 6 pm, from June 24 – Sept 30).
Bring your kids (we have a shade hut and a trampoline in the field, and our kids are here, and if you’re comfortable they can go to the creek and forest, too – plenty to explore. They must be at least 5 years old and able to hang without you for chunks of time), but please leave the dogs at home.
We mostly will be weeding the garden and harvesting during the volunteer time. Please be aware that the work requires squatting for extended periods of time, so you need your knees and back on board 😉 We love to share about our experience gardening here at high altitude, and love to host volunteers who want to learn more about gardening or who are wanting to get something going at their own place!
*We need folx to be mostly regular with their day each week, but we also can be flexible when you need it – you can swap to a different day sometimes, or double up to get your days in if you need. If you have a teacher’s schedule and want to do this – we can make it happen in your 9 or 10 week summer! Let us know your needs, we can definitely work with you as your summer rolls out to make sure that you can fulfill your commitment to the farm in a way that works for you.
Apply below if you are interested in a volunteer position this season.
Before you apply, please be sure that you can commit to the 14 work-days, and that your body is able and willing to squat to ground level for a half-day each week (this is really important – please be honest with yourself). Thank you!
Update 2/13: Some of the volunteer days are filling up already (returners, if we have talked, I have your day reserved for you). We still have a couple of open spots on Fridays, and otherwise can put you on a wait list for the other days. Thanks!
